Bead Making Any schedule can be accommodated. Ages 14 and up. No Experience Necessary. 6 Hours of instruction will teach all the basics of Glass Bead Making. Learn how to use all the shop equipment and safety procedures so you can come back on your own time and practice. Topics include: Moretti beads, Boro beads and pendants, making and using stringers, and using frits and powders. Intermediate Bead Making topics include, but are not limited to: Hollow Beads, Fuming Silver and Gold and Flower Beads.
Lampworking Any schedule can be accommodated with private or semi-private lessons. Ages 14 and up. 12 Hours of instruction over 6 classes will give any beginner all the necessary skills to make items such as Paperweights, Ornaments, Jars, Figurines and all kinds of different Glass Beads. Learn to sculpt solid glass into Fish and Flowers, and create Jars and Candlesticks by blowing into hot glass. Learn how to use all the shop equipment and safety procedures so you can come back on your own time and practice.
The Glass Studio is available for rental to anyone, age 16 and up, who has taken a class and/or can demonstrate safe and knowledgeable use of shop equipment. Basic tools will be supplied. Clear and Colored Glass is Available in both Borosilicate and Moretti. Prices and inventory vary. A Professional Glassmaker and Studio representative is ALWAYS available while studio is in use.
